Manaltheeram Ayurvedic resort and research center

The resort is situated on the beach near Trivandrum – the capital of Kerala. Manaltheeram offers Ayurvedic treatments of a high professional level provided in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.

The resort belongs to Somatheeram Ayurveda Group, which in 1985 opened the world’s first Ayurvedic resort – the widely known Somatheeram. The design of the clinic combines traditional Kerala style of buildings with modern facilities. The clinic is a home to the International Yoga Institute and the Ayurveda Academy.

Accommodation

All the constructions of the clinic are built of natural and eco-friendly materials and provide natural air ventilation. Most of the cottages and houses offer a scenic view of the sea and garden.

Ayurveda

Medical staff: 15 doctors and 90 therapists.

There are 24 treatment rooms in the clinic.

Ayurvedic programs

• Rejuvenation (Rasayana Chikitsa). Rejuvenates body and mind, tones the skin, strengthens all body systems, maintains ideal health and increases longevity. The program consists of four-hand and foot massages with oils made of rejuvenating plants, saunas and Ayurvedic medicines. The duration of the course is 7 – 14 days with daily 1.5-2-hour treatments.
• Purification Panchakarma (Chodana Chikitsa). The program cleanses the body of toxins and balances three doshas. It consists of body massages, steam baths, herbal medicines and Ayurvedic treatments such as snehapanam, nasya, virechanam, snehavasti, dhara, pizhichil, nyavarakizhi, carnapurnam, tarpanam, shirobasti. The duration of the course is 7 – 28 days.
• Weight loss. This 21-28-day program includes massages with herbal powders and medicinal oils, steam baths, special diet, herbal decoctions and juices.
• Anti-stress. A 14-day program consisting of rejuvenating massages, herbal steam baths, herbal body packs, yoga, meditation, Ayurvedic medicines as well as dhara, ndvarkvikizhi and talam treatments.
• Beauty program rejuvenates the body and improves the skin condition. A 10-day course comprises natural Ayurvedic face packs, massages with herbal creams and Ayurvedic oils, body and hair packs, steam baths, fruit and herbal juices.
• Anti-aging program slows down the aging, prolongs life, detoxes the body and increases intellect, memory and vital force. The 22-day program includes massages with Ayurvedic oils and herbal juices (njanavaratepp – massage with cotton poultices filled with boiled rice, narangakizhi – massage with cotton poultices filled with lemon and herbs, kayasyaks – massage with therapeutic oils, herbal decoctions or milk), snehapanam, virechana and shirobasti.
