Overview

Rajah Healthy Acres is set in a quiet, green part of the state of Kerala in India. The clinic is part of the Rajah Ayurveda group. There are four such Ayurvedic centres in all, offering high-quality treatment based on authentic methods of traditional medicine. The varied settings of the centres provide the ideal backdrop for a range of Ayurvedic treatments that rejuvenate and refresh their guests.

Location of Rajah Healthy Acres

Rajah Healthy Acres lies close to the village of Kuttanad in Kerala. The village borders a rubber plantation covering 80 hectares. The plantation will delight guests with peacocks, cranes and tropical animals, which often wander into the village of Kuttanad. There is also a large collection of Ayurvedic herbs and plants grown in natural conditions.

Services at Healthy Acres

Healthy Acres has a staff of 70 (10 doctors and 60 therapists) providing round-the-clock care and assistance. There is also a pharmaceutical unit on the grounds. The specialists grow various herbs and plants and run a full production unit certified to GMP standards. Besides the medicinal plants, you can see the traditional vegetation of Kerala here.

Ayurvedic treatments fall into two groups:

Shodhana chikitsa is Panchakarma therapy; the name literally means fivefold therapy. It has a longer-lasting effect on the body. Appropriate preparatory measures are recommended before treatment so that the body is ready for cleansing. Once the treatment is over, the patient may have to continue taking medicines and following dietary and lifestyle recommendations.
Shamana chikitsa is a method of treating patients through a carefully planned diet, lifestyle, Ayurvedic medicines and palliative therapy.

At Rajah Ayurveda, after detailed consultations with the doctor, a presentation and consultation are held explaining the fundamentals of Ayurveda and giving full information about the medicines and treatment methods, including their benefits.
