Greens Ayurveda

Greens Ayurveda gives visitors the chance to use its Panchakarma hospital, training centre, cooking courses, spa, yoga, dentistry and the other departments of the complex. The clinic also offers courses lasting from 10 days to 12 weeks, depending on the chosen field.

The Ayurveda centre, equipped with everything required and staffed by qualified teachers, offers courses in therapeutic Ayurveda and Panchakarma. The programmes are designed on a scientific basis to pass on theoretical and practical knowledge and allow students to become skilled professionals. The centre is also authorised to certify Ayurvedic clinics.

Greens Ayurveda is in Azhiyur, a charming village where myth and history intertwine with the culture and science of Ayurveda. The village lies in the majestic state of Kerala — “God’s Own Country”. This makes for a better understanding of the programmes and more fruitful work with the professional doctors and staff.

Doctors and services of the Ayurveda centre

The centre’s chief physician is Dr Asgar, who studied Ayurveda at the medical college in Kottakkal and also holds a master’s degree in yoga therapy from Kasturba Medical College in Manipal. As director of courses at Greens Ayurveda he passes his knowledge on to numerous students around the world. He organises seminars and workshops in Ayurveda and teaches several medical education programmes. For the past 18 years he has worked as an international Ayurvedic consultant.

The centre trains students to provide the following services:

• Chakra Marma massage;
• Yoga therapy and treatment.

Accommodation at Greens Ayurveda

Accommodation for guests is available on the grounds of the Greens Ayurveda training centre itself. Beds and rooms with the necessary furniture and conveniences are provided. The timetable of classes and practice is drawn up individually for each group. The Ayurveda centre is flexible about study, but demanding when it comes to examinations and the licensing of future specialists.
